Cartier Gondole Horizontale in 18k Yellow Gold ref. 9705 “Grand TV”

The Jumbo Gondole Horizontale is something of a house favorite here at Bulang and Sons. Not only is it one of the rarest Cartier watches from the 1970s, but we also consider it one of the coolest vintage pieces the brand ever produced. This model marks a rare design venture by Cartier during that era—alongside the more commonly seen Gondole Vertical—into creating these oversized Jumbo versions.

The 18k yellow gold horizontal stepped case remains in beautifully preserved original condition. The white dial is signed “Paris” and features bold black Roman numerals, with classic blued steel hands and a blue cabochon-topped crown—both unmistakably Cartier. The watch is fitted with the pictured leather strap and comes on the original 18k yellow gold Cartier deployment clasp. The hand-wound movement has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
