NOS Universal Geneve Polerouter Automatic Gilt Dial

The Unworn UG Polerouter 

This is a very special watch and an incredible opportunity to acquire a vintage watch that has never been worn! Universal Geneve were the official watches of Scandinavian Airline Systems and they commissioned Gerald Genta to design a watch to commemorate their new route that went over the North Pole. Having designed new navigation systems to cope with the extreme magnetic fields, they also wanted a watch with anti-magnetic properties. The 35mm steel case is beautifully crisp and in new old stock condition. The gilt dial has a nice reeded outer track and crosshair on the inner gilt section. The lume dots on the dial have taken on a rich patina. The watch comes on the original black leather UG strap with steel UG pin buckle and will also come with a Bulang and Sons strap of your choice*. This watch is in completely untouched condition and we have decided to not even open this time capsule. The watch is running fine, but for everyday wear a service might be recommended.
