The Speedmaster is one of the most instantly recognizable sports chronos and this example is a great introduction to Speedy collecting, with all the classic design cues of the original including tritium hour markers on the dial, that has aged gently over the years giving the watch a lovely warmth.

The hands have been exchanged in the past, something that happens often with Omega sports watches. The bezel is a so-called ‘dot next to 90’ version that remains in good condition having faded to an almost blue hue. The 42mm stainless steel case is strong all round and the lugs remain crisp.

The watch comes on its original Omega steel bracelet reference 1479 with 812 endlinks. The calibre 861 movement has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
