Omega Speedmaster 2998-5 Straight Lug Case

Omega Speedmaster 2998-5 Straight Lug Case

Special with the alpha hands…

This is a rare opportunity to acquire a beautiful condition and all original Omega Speedmaster reference 2998-5.
Featuring the calibre 321 movement, this execution of the Speedmaster is housed in the so-called straight-lug case with 19mm lug width and this case is in really outstanding condition. The stepped dial is in great condition with the correct Omega logo and cool sand coloured hour markers.

A large part of the charm of these early Speedmasters are the alpha hands, which in this case have attractively patinated lume in them. The ‘Dot over 90’ tachymetre bezel is in remarkable condition for its age and has naturally faded to a gunmetal grey colour.

This super collectible Speedmaster comes with an extract from Omega, confirming delivery of the watch to Ecuador and a production date of April 9th 1962. The movement has been fully serviced over by our watchmaker and the watch is fitted with a Bulang and Sons Speedmaster strap with original Omega buckle.
