Omega Speedmaster Reference 105.012-66

The first of many key features…

This reference of Speedy has a few firsts that make it an important reference for collectors. The 105.012 Speedmaster was the only version to have been confirmed as landing on the moon – the first watch on the moon on the arm of Neil Armstrong. It was also the first Speedy to feature the text ‘PROFESSIONAL’ on the dial and the first to have the iconic asymmetrical lugs on the case. On this example the original ‘Dot over 90’ (DON) 500-base bezel is present and in original condition. The dial remains in fantastic condition, with all the lume intact and the correct applied-logo. The lume in the hands is a shade lighter. The case is in incredible fat condition, this is an CB version of case . The flat link bracelet reference 1039 bracelet is in good condition and has a clasp stamped ‘1 71’ and is fitted with ref 516 endlinks. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
