Patek Philippe Calatrava 3796J Silver Dial in 18k Yellow Gold

This Patek Philippe Ref. 3796, launched in 1982 and produced until the late 1990s, is the direct neo-vintage successor to the original 1932 Calatrava Ref. 96. It faithfully maintains the classic 31mm case size, tapered lugs, and Bauhaus-inspired design of the iconic Ref. 96.

 

We might regard this as the last “classic-sized” Calatrava that remained entirely faithful to the proportions of the inaugural model.

 

The 18k yellow gold case is in excellent condition and features short, elegant lugs, a snap-back case back, and a small winding crown. The dial is a classic silver with a soft brushed finish, a “dot-dot” minute track, boat-shaped elegant hour markers, and a classic small running seconds at six o’clock, topped off with sharp dauphine hands.

 

It is paired with an original Patek Philippe leather strap and an 18k yellow gold Patek Philippe pin buckle.

 

The watch and its hand-wound Cal. 215 movement have been fully serviced by our watchmaker and are ready for many years to come.
