This understated watch draws its inspiration from the minimalist principles of the Bauhaus movement—the renowned German school of art and architecture that championed the idea that form should follow function. It also reflects the “less is more” philosophy of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.

Its name, taken from the Calatrava Cross used in Patek Philippe’s logo, has become a symbol of legendary watchmaking and enduring design.

The case of this particular piece is crafted in 18k rose gold, with beautifully angled “teardrop” lugs—a hallmark of many vintage timepieces. The crown is adorned with the iconic Calatrava Cross, a recurring motif throughout the series. With its modest 32mm diameter, the watch proudly embraces its vintage heritage, offering a refined and classically traditional aesthetic.
