This is a beautiful and visually striking vintage Patek Ellipse, featuring a slightly bulkier case that, to our eyes, resembles the elegant form of a manta ray. The Patek Ellipse has become a focus for us in recent years — we’re drawn to the subtle yet sophisticated details found in these wonderfully crafted timepieces.

 

The champagne-colored dial is in fantastic condition, with crisp black text and sigma markings at the bottom edge, indicating that the hour markers are made of solid gold.The case back features an engraving from the former owner: "I X 74 80", rendered in a charming font.

 

The watch is presented on the pictured Bulang and Sons leather strap, fitted with a yellow gold Patek Ellipse-style pin buckle. It has also been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
