THE FROGFOOT FRECCIONE EXPLORER
The 1655 was equipped with Rolex’s GMT movement calibre 1575. When in a GMT Master, the 24 hour hand could be used to measure a separate time zone against the rotating bezel. The Explorer 2 had a fixed bezel and the 24hr hand’s function is simply to differentiate between day and night. This was developed for scientific study that look place in dark locations for many days on end.
