Rolex Datejust 1601/8 Malachite stone dial

Collecting Datejusts is such fun thanks to all the amazing dials made by Rolex over the many decades of the icon watch’s run.

Arguably king of rare dials are those made in stone, with each one being unique due to the natural formation of the stones. Here we have a stunning looking one made in malachite signed T SWISS T.

Whilst these dials don’t have any lume, the hands could have, and so correct examples are signed T SWISS T, such as this one with luminous hands.
The green dial has beautiful natural stripes/inclusions, with some minor cracking in areas. The 18kt yellow gold case is in good condition with a well-defined bezel. The Jubilee bracelet, also in 18kt yellow gold, is also in nice condition and has a non-concealed clasp. The slow-set movement has been fully checked and regulated by our watchmaker.
