Rolex Datejust 1601 Steel and Gold Buckley Dial

This is a very interesting Datejusts that is fitted with an unusual and rarer version of the so-called Buckley dial (named after New York based watch dealer John Buckley who collects these dials).

The champagne pie-pan dial has a railroad track in black within the edge of the dial & remains in great original condition with crisp glossy black text and painted Roman hours. The case is strong with even lugs – just how we like them with a well-defined yellow gold bezel.
The folded link two-tone Oyster bracelet is excellent with a clasp stamped ‘2 72’ and the correct, for this era, all steel reference 358 endlinks. The slow-set movement has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
