Rolex Datejust 1601 Tropical Gloss Dial Silver Print
We love the iconic Datejust at Bulang & Sons and truly believe it is a watch to watch.
This reference 1601 would already be special with its glossy dial alone, but it becomes truly exceptional because the black dial has transformed into a deep Brown/Burgundy, so-called tropical color. The tropical dial reveals different shades of Burgundy, orange and brown as light hits the watch from various angles, giving a unique and dynamic character.
The dial features rarely seen hour markers with a distinctive “knick,” silver printed text (in fact, we’ve never encountered another example like this), and is topped off with elegant leaf hands.
It wears incredibly warm on the wrist and is highly versatile—equally suited for everyday wear or more formal occasions. The watch retains a strong case and its white-gold fluted bezel, both in very nice condition.
The Jubilee bracelet, reference 62150H, is in great condition, fitted with end links stamped “555” and a clasp stamped “W5.” This super-warm and rare Datejust has been fully checked and regulated by our watchmaker.
If you’re looking for a truly special Datejust with character and rarity, this tropical 1601 is well worth a closer look. Believe us when we say this one is “alive” when the sun hits that dial!
