Rolex Day-Date Black Diamond "Stingray Patina" Dial Bark Finish Box and Paper Set Ref. 18078
The Day-Date has always been a popular choice here at Bulang and Sons, and we’re always excited to offer something a little different—like this very cool and rare reference 18078, featuring the hand-finished 'Bark' texture.
This classic 36mm yellow gold Day-Date is in beautiful condition, with a stunning 18K yellow gold case and bezel. The watch features a black diamond dial with diamond hour markers, including baguette-cut stones at six and nine o’clock. The crisp gold text and well-preserved lume plots stand out beautifully against the black backdrop. We especially love the patina that has developed on the dial—what we like to call a “stingray patina,” as it resembles the textured skin of a stingray. Such a cool effect! The day disc is in English.
It’s fitted with a President bracelet with a concealed clasp, and it fits wrists up to 19 cm. The bracelet is in excellent condition. The single quick-set movement has been fully checked and regulated by our watchmaker.
This piece comes with its original Rolex Day-Date leather box, three booklets, and the original punched paper showing a sale in 1989 by AD Elka in Amsterdam. Also included is a business card from this Authorized Rolex Dealer—an uncommon detail that completes the set.
We love Day-Dates and are passionate about sharing them with fellow watch lovers. Contact us to learn more about this cool piece!
