Rolex Day-date Tridor Peach Diamond Marker Dial with Original Guarantee Paper ref 18239B
Rolex is not known for being a particularly “experimental” company. That said, every now and then they stepped a little over the edge—one great example being the Tridor models.
Introduced in the late 1980s and produced through the 1990s, the Rolex Tridor (“three gold”) was offered only on the Day-Date and Lady-Datejust models. These watches never truly took off at the time, but today they have become highly collectible and increasingly appreciated by enthusiasts.
At hand, we have a classic 36mm Day-Date, reference 18239B, with the “B” denoting its three-color gold construction.
The watch features a white gold case and crown, paired with an 18k yellow gold fluted bezel. The iconic President bracelet is executed with 18k white gold outer links, while the center link consists of alternating bands of rose, yellow, and white gold. The case is in excellent condition, as is the fluted bezel, and the case back still partially retains its original green sticker.
The President bracelet, reference 8285, is in great condition, features a concealed clasp, and currently fits wrists up to approximately 18–18.5 cm. The dial is a super-cool, almost “peach” color—definitely not your standard champagne tone—and is tastefully set with brilliant-cut diamonds and alternating baguette-cut diamonds. Completing the look is an English-language day disc.
This unusual and distinctive Day-Date comes with its original punched warranty paper, showing a sale date in 1991.
The watch, including its double quick-set movement, has been fully serviced by our watchmaker and is ready to be enjoyed for many years to come.
If you’re looking for a Day-Date that breaks away from the norm and embraces Rolex’s rare experimental side, this Tridor is a standout. Curious about this three-gold icon? Let’s talk and get it on your wrist.
