Rolex Explorer Mk1 Frog Foot Dial Reference 1016

The Explorer has been an important reference in the Rolex catalogue ever since the early 1950s, when prototypes of the watches were worn on the Everest expedition of 1953.

We are delighted to be able offer you guys another super cool so-called Frog Foot 1016. The matte dial features the well-known 3-6-9 numerals and remains in superb condition. The dial and hands have yellow zincsulfide lume that lights up with uv light.

The watch gets its nickname due to the Rolex coronet being shaped like the footprint of a frog! The case is in great condition. The watch is fitted with the pictured Bulang and Sons leather strap. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
