Rolex GMT-Master 16700 with Faded Pepsi Inlay Box and Papers Tritium Dial

We have always loved the 16700 for its thinner case, which sits so well on the wrist. Interestingly, it was the last of the GMT-Masters before the GMT-Master II—with its independent 24-hour hand—was launched (although both models were available simultaneously for a period).

 

The drilled-lug-hole case is in excellent condition, with thick and even lugs and crown guards. The Pepsi insert has no major defects and features a beautifully faded look we always appreciate; the blue turned to a light blue “washed “ colour and the red to a pink-ish hue.

 

The dial is in fantastic condition, featuring lovely tritium lume. The Oyster bracelet, reference 78360, is also in great condition, with end links marked 501B and a clasp stamped R3.

 

The watch comes with its original punched warranty paper, indicating a sale in 1993 in Italy, as well as the original paper holder, booklet, and Rolex box.This fine Gmt -master is fully serviced by our watch maker and is good for upcoming years.
