In recent years, collectors have increasingly turned their attention to sports watches from the early 1980s—a pivotal period of transition. One of the key updates over its predecessor, reference 1675, was the introduction of a new movement featuring a Quickset date function, allowing the date to be set independently of the hour hand. Early serials of this reference were fitted with matte dials, while later examples transitioned to glossy dials with white gold–surrounded indexes.

 

This GMT-Master reference 16750 is one of those later serial examples, offered in lovely condition, with a thick, well-preserved case and a striking blue-back “Pepsi” bezel insert fitted.

 

The glossy dial features a light beige patina on the white gold–surrounded hour plots, creating a beautiful contrast against the black dial and the blue-and-red insert. This transitional GMT-Master has been fully serviced by our watchmaker and is ready to be enjoyed.
