The Rolex Oyster Perpetual 114300 was introduced at Baselworld 2015 as part of the updated Oyster Perpetual collection. It marked a milestone, as it was the first time Rolex offered the Oyster Perpetual in a 39mm case size — filling the gap between the smaller 36mm and 34mm models, and offering a modern, versatile alternative.
It was initially launched with colorful accented dials (blue, grape, and dark rhodium), featuring small pops of color at the hour markers. These tones added a subtle yet modern twist to an otherwise minimalist design.
Later dial options included black and white versions, released in 2018, which leaned more toward classic and monochromatic tastes.
This particular piece is one of the latter — a more classic version with a white dial and black printed text. However, the white here isn’t flat; it has a grainy texture with a slight silver shine — something the brand Patek Philippe likes to call “opaline.” A very cool and refined effect, in our opinion.
The case and bezel are in great condition, as is the Oyster bracelet (reference 72400), with solid end links and a clasp stamped U0X.
This fine OP comes complete with its original inner and outer boxes, two booklets, the card holder, hangtags, and its original warranty card, showing a sale in 2020 in the Netherlands. The watch has been fully checked and regulated by our watchmaker.
