Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air-King Silver Dial Ref. 5500

The Rolex Air-King ref. 5500, produced from 1957 to 1989, is often regarded as one of the most straightforward vintage Rolex models available. With its simple design—no flashy bezel, complications, or special features—it remains a true embodiment of Rolex’s minimalist approach to watchmaking.

We love the font used on these refs, very untypical Rolex! This example remains in really great condition, with a strong case and bezel. The classic silver soleil-finished dial is in great condition as well, as the solid Oyster ref 78350 is. This bracelet has a clasp stamped CX1 and is fitted with end links marked 557.
