Rolex Submariner Date 1680 Mk2 Matte Dial

A little off-white and just right…

The reference 1680 was the very first Submariner Date that was introduced in 1969.

This example dates to 1977 and remains in superb condition with a great case that has strong lugs and crown guards.
The Mk2 matte dial has hour plots that are a slight off-white hue and the hands are a good match.

The black bezel insert is still black and has some signs of life, which we love, as well as the original pearl. The solid link Oyster bracelet, 93150, is in good condition with a clasp stamped ‘S V8’ and reference 580 endlinks. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
